Peace and Relaxation: A Guide to Stress Management - DAV 130, noon to 1 p.m. Presented by the Center for Counseling, Health and Wellness, this workshop for faculty and staff will address stress management and effective meditation techniques. To reserve a seat, contact 3-4422.

Writing Summit - FCT 118, Two sessions: 8:30 a.m. and noon. This writing workshop for faculty will be facilitated by Michael Neal, assistant professor at Florida State University. Energy and the Environment Lecture with Dr. Paul Ehrlich - Mahaffey Theater, 7 p.m. Well known for his 1968 book, The Population Bomb, Dr. Ehrlich will address human population growth, natural resource use and environmental degradation. For more information, visit the lecture series Web site.

Guest Speaker Dr. George Warheit, Presented by the USF St. Petersburg Honors Program - WMS, 5:30 p.m. Dr. Warheit, sociologist, minister and professor emeritus at the University of Miami, will discuss, "Secularization and Its Impact on Religious Fundamentalism in the United States."

2nd Annual Battle of the Bakers Bake-Off (Theme: Artistic Edible Creations) - DAV 130, 12:30 p.m. Come out and share mom and grandma's secret recipes with a unique decorative twist! Faculty, staff and students are invited to tantalize the campus community with their signature cakes, cookies, brownies and pies. Submission forms are due March 24 and are available in CAC 130.

Forum: Promoting an Undergraduate Research Culture at USFSP- DAV 130, 11 a.m. - Forum participants will discuss these topics: steps to building a campus research culture; student, faculty and institutional benefits to research participation; and trends in higher education leading to new research directions.

Same-Sex Marriage Debate - CAC, 7 p.m. John Corvino and Glenn T. Stanton, two of the nation's leading opposing voices on same-sex marriage, will discuss and debate the issue.

Jeff Klinkenberg - Courtyard of the Historic Snell House, 6 p.m. Author and St. Petersburg Times columnist, Jeff Klinkenberg, will read and discuss his latest book, Pilgrim in the Land of Alligators. Presented by the USF St. Petersburg Florida Studies Program.

Discussion: An Agenda of One's Own: Women Scholars Speak - CAC 133, 9 a.m.- USF St. Petersburg women faculty will meet for an informal roundtable conversation about women and academic research. Dr. Karen Holbrook, USF Vice President for Research and Innovation, is the featured guest speaker.

Exhibition: USFSP Faculty Research Expo - CAC, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visit this first time exhibition of research and creative works by USFSP faculty. A light lunch will be provided.

Exhibition: Undergraduate Research Symposium - DAV Lobby, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Undergraduate Research Symposium, formerly known as Tomorrow's Leaders Symposium, celebrates its fifth year in 2008. The event showcases the innovative research, scholarship and creative work that USF St. Petersburg Undergraduate students have produced.
