Clothing Drive Underway Until May 13

(St. Petersburg, Fla.) April 28, 2008 - A clothing drive is underway until May 13, and donations will go to Bayfront Medical Center for discharged patients without clean clothing of their own available. The chaplain has put out an urgent call for adult shirts, blouses, t-shirts, jeans, shorts, pants and new underwear.
    Donations can be dropped off in designated boxes at the following locations: Residence Hall One entrance, Davis Hall Lobby, Nelson Poynter Memorial Library and the College of Business Lobby. This drive is a partnership between Residence Hall One, the Center for Civic Engagement and the Student Association of Citizen Scholars.
    Residence Hall One is also collecting non-perishable food items and electronics to donate to the United Way of Tampa Bay.
    "Last year students donated keyboards, printers, speakers and other computer equipment," said Brian Akins, Residence Hall Coordinator. "Anyone on campus can donate."
